Pomeranian

Intelligent and eager to learn, the Pomeranian is loyal to their owner and family. They are a small dog with a big dog personality. They are alert and one of the most independent of the toy breeds.

PdogPomeranians are a feisty breed and have a mind of their own. They are very curious and independent. Since they think they’re bigger than they actually are, they could harass and even take on a larger dog. If they are socialized when younger, though, they usually get along with other dogs and animals.

Pomeranians have a fierce bark and make great watchdogs. They may take barking a little seriously, though, and never stop. They aren’t an overly dependent breed, so they are generally okay with being alone.

Pomeranians are good at learning tricks but they must accept their owner as the boss or may become demanding and will take it upon themselves to be the leader. They have a lot of energy and love to go for walks.

Major Health Concerns: The Pomeranian is prone to early tooth loss and gum problems. They may experience eye infections. They also suffer from Patellar luxation (Dislocated kneecap).

Interesting Fact: The Pomeranian comes in the widest variety of colours of any dog breed, including white, black, brown, red, orange, cream, blue, sable, black and tan, brown and tan, spotted, brindle, plus combinations of those colours.
